ACADEMIC OVERVIEW

Welcome to the Academic Overview at Cambridge Convent School, where education is not merely a preparation for life but a journey of continuous growth and exploration.

In our philosophy, education is life itself, aiming to equip children with the capabilities to become responsible, productive, and valuable members of society. Knowledge, skills, and attitudes are cultivated through a diverse range of learning experiences, allowing students to analyze, doubt, question, investigate, and think independently.

Our classrooms are vibrant spaces where reflection and hands-on work are fundamental aspects of the learning process. We recognize that children naturally possess the motivation to learn and the capacity for abstract thinking. Various learning methods, from experiential activities to discussions and self-expression, are incorporated to cater to the diverse ways in which children learn and develop.

The curriculum at Cambridge Convent School is a comprehensive teaching-learning program encompassing overall aims, syllabus, materials, methods, and assessment. It serves as a framework, aligning with the needs of a digital era and preparing students not only for further education within the country but also abroad. Through partnerships with esteemed institutions worldwide, we provide ample opportunities for learning and growth.

Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, our school follows a primary program designed to nurture essential skills and attitudes in students. Aimed at developing self-motivated, caring, and balanced individuals with moral values, this program prepares them to face future challenges positively and comprehensively.

For students aged 3 to 12 years, integrated topics in subjects like Science, Maths, Social Studies, along with Language and Communication Skills, Art, Music, Dance, and Physical Education are taught. Our international trans-disciplinary program at middle, secondary, and senior secondary levels focuses on five essential elements – concepts, knowledge, skills, attitude, and action.

At Cambridge Convent School, we believe in fostering attitudes of tolerance, respect, integrity, confidence, commitment, and appreciation. These attitudes not only contribute to decision-making but also guide students in taking appropriate actions, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

Evaluation, an integral part of academics, develops a habit of regular, systematic, and methodical working among students. Tests serve as incentives for hard work and provide diagnostic value for both teachers and students throughout the academic year.

Join us at Cambridge Convent School, where education is not confined to textbooks; it's a holistic and transformative experience.

Warm regards,
